Your cat's name is made of two parts. The first part will stay the same your entire life. The second will change depending on your rank.
First Part: usually describes what you look like, something you look like, or something the parents like
examples:
-A cat with "black" as their first part will probably be a black cat
-A cat with spots might have "spotted" as their first part if they have spots
-If the parents like water, their kit's names might be started with "misty" or "sea" or "moss"
Second Part: A little more complicated. It depends on what rank you are.
If you're a kit, your name will end with "kit"
examples: Blackkit, Spottedkit, Mistykit, Mosskit
If you're an apprentice, your name will end with "paw"
examples: Blackpaw, Spottedpaw, Mistypaw, Mosspaw
If you're a warrior, your name is a little different. There are many different endings for warriors.
ending examples: fang, claw, foot, pelt, breeze, wind, fire, face, heart, stream, dapple, feather, wing, shadow, blaze, cloud, song, spots, talon, stripe, fall, flight, step, light, shine, leaf, fern, storm, nose, etc.
warrior name examples: Blackclaw, Mistycloud, Seastorm, Fireheart, Owltalon, Mosspelt, Blossomfall, Tawnyspots, Emberblaze (should sound good, duh)
If you're a leader, your warrior name, what ever it is will end with the word "star"
examples: Blackstar, Heatherstar, Froststar, Bramblestar, Icestar
