There are certain ranks within each clan. Each rank is treated with different levels of respect. On this site, ranks are determined mostly by posts, but there are other conditions.
Kit: Cats that have been just born. They are too young to start training yet. At first kits are small and weak, but as they grow older they get lively an strong, and sometimes annoying!
post number: 0 - 60 posts
Apprentice: Apprentices are cats that are in training. Apprentices learn and practice hunting, fighting, climbing, tracking, and much more. Each apprentice has a warrior as his/her mentor.
post number: 60 - 120 posts
Warriors: Cats that have finished their apprenticeship and training become warriors. Warriors perform the main duties within the clan by protecting and hunting.
post number: 120 or more
Queens: Queens are female warriors expecting, nursing, or helping with kits.
post nubmer: same as warriors; 120 or more
Senior Warriors: Same thing as warriors, but get more respect because they've served their clans longer.
post number: Leader decides when you become a senior warrior
Elders: Older warriors or queens that have retired. Elders receive high respect for their former services. Apprentices normally tend to the elder's needs. Kits and apprentices also go to the elders to listen to stories.
Special Ranks -
Leader: The Leader is the highest rank in a clan. He or she makes the big decisions and should be a skilled warrior that is dedicated to his/her clan. The Leader has nine lives and only dies when he/she dies nine times.
Deputy: The Deputy is second in command. He or she organizes the duties of the clan. If the leader loses all of his/her nine lives, the deputy becomes the leader. After becoming the leader, the deputy should appoint another warrior to be deputy.
Medicine Cat: Medicine cats are a total different type of cat from warriors. Medicine cats don't focus on hunting and fighting, but on healing wounds and treating diseases. The medicine cat is responsible for the health of his/her clanmates. Medicine cats still know basic fighting and hunting techinques. They use herbs in their territory for their job. Medicine cats also have a special connection for Starclan and are responsible for interpreting omens and prophecies.
Medicine Cat Apprentice: The apprentice training under the medicine cat in a clan. They learn everything a medicine cat should know. Medicine cat apprentices replace their mentors when the medicine cat dies.
