The River

*a tinge of vole hits his nose as he crouches down. swiftly chases the vole as it tries to run away and catches it.*

*waits patiently at the river bank until a dark figure appears at the top. he quickly scoops up the silver fish with his claws*

[Pebblestorm]

*sees a vole sitting in the grass*

[Pebblestorm]

*crouches down like Owlfeathe taught him, and moves forward quietly. He sprints and catches the vole with his claws* //my first prey!//

[Ravenclaw]

*comes out of camp for the first time* //wow!// *smells a vole and crouches down like Wavestream had taught him to. Creeps forward and then grabs the vole and slashes its neck* // my first prey!//

[Mudwhisker]

*waits patiently for Willowpaw*

[Willowpelt]

*Comes running out of the forest and stopped in front of Mudwhisker, she grins* Sorry I'm late. I was helping Moonshine!

[Mudwhisker]

How nice of you! *suddenly smells a vole and crouches down. He swiftly glides over the river bank and silently kills the prey with a single strike*

*He sees a squirrel that has strayed near the river. He crouches down and creeps toward the squirrel. He is right behind it and suddenly pounces, grabbing the prey with his claws and ending its life with a bite*

*pads over to her mentor* Nice catch! *she waits patiently until a swirling shadow appears at the surface. Using great speed and dexterity, she scoops the fish out with her claws and kills it in a bite*

*smells a tint of vole and crouches down. She knows that the wind is blowing against her, so the vole can't smell her. She waits till the vole gets nearer and then suddenly jumps out and kills it*

*She sees a vole near the river banks. She stalks forward and flips the vole over to bite it*

*her eyes flick toward the river and she sees several shadows appearing* // are fish supposed to appear in these amounts?// *scoops randomly with her claws and they come up with 2 fish*

[Mudwhisker]

I heard of this before. Two-legs try to catch fish too, but not with their paws, but with these thin pieces of string tied together. These fish must've escaped! Well they're ours now! *thrusts his paws into the river and brings out 2 more fish*

[Owlfeather]

*scoops and kills the rest of the fish with his claws*
