*Looks confused.* What's a collar? You mean the ring with the bell around her neck? *She jumps next to Dawn and smiles.* It sounds good! It might scare away prey though...

[Skybreeze]

Smokekit, that's what they were so their housefolk can recognize them. *She turns to Dawn and her eyes soften.* Once you become a clan cat, you'll have to give up your collar.

[Dawnkit]

"M-my collar? But… It's like a part of me… I can't give it away…" A puzzled look comes into her eyes, almost like a film descending over her sight. "My collar…" she murmurs.

[Airpaw]

"Loosing your collar, is like loosing a part of you. But loosing it also means your becoming a new cat, with a new life. Becoming a clan cat is that. You don't eat dry food from a bowl-- you learn to stalk your food, hunt it, and bring it back to share with the clan. You learn to fly up trees, and fight in battles. Or if you want to be a medicine cat, (AH! Kay, no! I want a warrior buddy!), heal your clanmates."

[Fallenstar]

It's all up to you of course. If you take it off, you don't have to get rid of it if you don't want to. But it would be a lot easier if you did.

[Smokewhisper]

*Prances around Dawn in curiosity* You can alway use it as a memory. You know, keep it in one of the dens...

[Dawnkit]

"Could I really do that, Fallenstar? I mean, keep my collar in a den? Just until I get used to this whole thing, I mean." she adds hastily, not wanting these other cats to think of her as weak, or anything like that. "I really do want to stay here, with all of you. And catching my own food seems amazing. I can't even imagine it…" Her jaws crack open in a wide yawn, the stress and exhaustion of the day getting to her, making her filthy, burr-covered body seem like it weighed as much as one of the Monsters in her old home.

(Whaaaat? Do you not trust me to be your mentor? JK.) *She smile at the thought.* You know, that might not be a bad idea. You can remember your heritage and keep it for comfort. I think it sounds like beautiful music.

Rainblaze padded up and watched the conversation

"Music?" Airkit murmered, somewhat confused. "Like birds..."

[Fallenstar]

Yes you may. Now, why don't you go to the nursery. The night day grows young. Bed time. *Leads the kits*//I'll stay with them in the nursery this time. I miss them every second I'm away from them.//

[Dawnkit]

Her tiny jaws crack in a yawn as she follows Fallenstar without a question. She finds a nest that looks abandoned and curls up inside. Within moments, she is asleep.

[Fallenstar]

*Lies down and wraps her tail around her kits* //She's all alone without a mother....// *Stands and motions her kits to follow as she lies down beside Dawnkit and wraps her tail around them all* //There. Much better.// *Falls asleep*

[Frostflower]

Lilykit~ She cocked her head as her sleeping space became a bit small and mewled once in protest then fell asleep

*She settles in her nest and falls asleep, happy that she made a new friend.*
