Leopardsong lay in her old camp crying. She missed it even though she had only been a kit when Scarheart had attacked. She what to look around and see her mother and her father and brothers and sisters and everyone else laughing and playing and enjoying themselves. She whated to be a kit again, running out to greet her father as he came back from patrol. She whated to have grown up peacefully, to have helped her mother when she had Gentlekit.
